| Hackers to converge on Middle East
HACK IN THE BOX (M) Sdn Bhd has announced that for the second time it will be bringing some of the worlds' leading network security researchers to the Middle East.
It said HITBSecConf2007 – Dubai will take place at The Sheraton Creek from the April 2 to 5.
The hacking and network security conference will feature more than 20 of the world's leading network security specialists.
These specialists will be conducting four tracks of technical training sessions on April 2 and 3. Topics for the training sessions include Advance Web Application Security, Tactical VoIP: Applied VoIPhreaking, Structured Network Threat Analysis and Forensics and Packetmastering the Monkey Way. This training will be followed by two days of deep knowledge network security presentations with topics ranging from vulnerability assessment, new attack vectors, defense methodologies, as well as the latest computer and network security technologies.
In addition, there will be a live hacking competition known popularly as Capture The Flag. The competition is an attack-only game which sees teams or individuals tasked with attacking prepared servers in order to retrieve marked files. "This is an opportunity for attendees to meet and hear first-hand from some of the leading minds in the field of computer security," said Dhillon Andrew Kannabhiran, founder and chief executive officer of Hack In The Box.
